Briggs Village will retain over 40% of the site as open space or develop its surroundings to include an array of active and passive recreational opportunities for its residents.  Briggs’ natural topography and existing site condition provides several spectacular project areas for public and city-owned neighborhood parks, a natural system of trails within the greenbelt linking the six kettles that will allow a 3-1/3 mile walk around the village and numerous open space locations with natural, breathtaking views. 

Within Town Square, the main focal point of The Village, sits Village Green, a 1 acre open air gathering setting for residents and Town Square patrons.  Villagers can relax and enjoy festive music, browse through fresh produce at a farmers market or meet up with some friends for a hot cup of coffee.  Village Green will accommodate a variety of outdoor activities as well as serve as the prominent intersection within Briggs Village.

Briggs Village Park is another one of the many open space amenities featured at Briggs Village.  Located in the Central Residential section, this 5 acre village park  will include crushed rock trails, a basketball court, open playing fields, skate node, picnic shelters, restroom facilities and luscious landscaping as a tribute to the lands original function.

A community park, located in the North Residential section of Briggs Village offers residents an open air gathering location for active and passive opportunities.  This beautiful park features a children’s playground with an assortment of swings and equipment, a Sport Court, a picnic and barbeque area next to the covered pavilion as well as open fields for recreational outdoor activities.
