Briggs Village offers many natural, scenic recreation opportunities including Ward Lake, which features an overlook located near the Northeast Kettle. The views from the overlook will provide the community a chance to take in this breath taking scenery.  Easily accessible through one of the far-reaching, natural trail systems that extend throughout Briggs Village and onto the lake’s edge, this scenic environment offers a terrific amenity to the community.

A greenbelt has been created to link Briggs’  six kettles and ensure all residents will be in close proximity to open space and a natural setting.  A natural  system of trails is planned, which incorporates a 3 and 1/3 mile walk around the village, all  designed specifically to avoid conflicts with vehicle traffic so residents and guests can freely enjoy the scenic village environment.

The Arboretum within Briggs Village offers a beautiful array of indigenous plants and vegetation to Olympia along the shoreline of Ward Lake.  Trails within the Arboretum, as well as the public overlook, allow for many spectacular views of the lake and a natural, scenic recreational opportunity for residents and guests.
